Chinese President Xi Jinping paid a state visit to Germany on July 4 and 6. During the visit, the docking of "Made in China 2025" and Germany's "Industry 4.0" strategy once again became a major focus. Will the two strategies further enhance cooperation in the future? How to proceed? What's the potential? The latest answer to these questions is "to enhance the synergy between 'Made in China 2025' and Germany's 'Industry 4.0' strategy." "We will support companies of the two countries in synergizing the 'Made in China 2025' initiative with Germany's 'Industry 4.0' initiative, so as to unleash the huge innovation potential of our two countries when their manufacturing strengths are combined with the Internet."
It is no accident that the two met
As for "Made in China 2025" and Germany's "Industry 4.0", insiders point out that the two strategies are closely related and it is no accident that they meet. As an action plan for the first decade of China's manufacturing strategy, Made in China 2025 targets five major projects and 10 key areas to help China's manufacturing industry innovate, transform and upgrade. Germany's "Industry 4.0", proposed in 2011, aims to promote digital and intelligent manufacturing and lead a new round of industrial revolution. In October 2015, China and Germany announced that they would align their "Made in China 2025" and Germany's "Industry 4.0" strategies to jointly promote the new industrial revolution and the form of business.
"The docking of the two strategies is necessary and inevitable. On the one hand, the main direction of 'Made in China 2025' and Germany's 'Industry 4.0' are both intelligent manufacturing, and the development direction, trend and goal of the two are basically the same. On the other hand, Germany's high-end manufacturing industry is at the leading level in the world with prominent technological advantages, while China has great advantages in market and capital. The cooperation between the two countries is highly complementary." Ministry of Commerce Research Institute Regional Economic Cooperation Research Center Director Zhang Jianping said in an interview with our reporter.
With the deepening synergy of our two major strategies, China-Germany cooperation has been continuously upgraded. The first "Industry 4.0" demonstration line jointly built by our two countries has been launched in Shenyang. The two countries have initiated systematic and strategic cooperation and completed a number of demonstration projects in the development of international rules and standards for Industry 4.0. The two sides have established a vice-ministerial cooperation mechanism on intelligent manufacturing and "Industry 4.0"... At present, Germany is the largest European country in technology transfer to China. By May 2017, China had imported US $76.82 billion in technology contracts from Germany.
There is great potential for cooperation between enterprises
"In the process of advancing the alignment of 'Made in China 2025' and Germany's 'Industry 4.0' strategies, the dominant position of enterprises should be fully highlighted." Jianping said that two strategic docking success depends on the communication and cooperation between enterprises, through the in-depth cooperation in the field of manufacturing enterprises, more efficient use of resources will be able to reconfigure, technology, enterprise get better development, the German Portsmouth in sany acquisition meister, midea group has been reflected in the German library card and other cooperation.
Chinese President Xi Jinping on July 5 held talks with German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin, Germany. The two countries will support companies in their efforts to synergize the "Made in China 2025" initiative with Germany's "Industry 4.0" initiative and unleash the huge innovation potential of the two countries by combining their manufacturing strengths with the Internet.
Recently, under the background of the complementarity of the two major strategies, the cooperation between Chinese and German enterprises has maintained a sound momentum. Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Group Co., Ltd. carried out joint venture cooperation with Volkswagen (China) Investment Co., Ltd., Baidu Inc. carried out strategic cooperation with Germany Bosch Group on autonomous driving technology, BAIC Group and Daimler AG strengthened strategic cooperation and investment in the field of new energy vehicles...
Hermann, CEO of Siemens Greater China, said the "One Belt And One Road" initiative and "Made in China 2025" proposed by China present new opportunities for Siemens. China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation (CASIC) and Siemens AG signed a strategic cooperation agreement in the field of industrial Internet and intelligent manufacturing in Berlin, Germany, on July 5. The two sides will jointly build a future-oriented industrial ecosystem based on the industrial cloud platform.
Coordinating our strategies is mutually beneficial
The synergy between "Made in China 2025" and Germany's "Industry 4.0" strategy has brought tangible benefits to our economic and trade cooperation and development. But at the same time, there are still some doubts in German society: will China's accelerated development of high-end manufacturing pose a threat to German manufacturing industry? Zhang pointed out that with the development of manufacturing industries in both China and Germany to a higher level, there will be a certain degree of competition between the two sides, but this does not mean a threat. On the contrary, from the perspective of development, with the upgrading of cooperation and the integration of the two countries, the whole market will grow bigger and bigger, and both sides will benefit from it and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.
"In order to enhance the alignment of the two strategies, it is necessary for China and Germany to further promote dialogue and exchanges at the policy level, deepen mutual trust, and create more favorable conditions for the alignment and cooperation of the industrial chain. At the same time, we should give full play to the role of intermediary organizations and business associations in promoting business cooperation and add lubricant to China-Germany manufacturing cooperation." Zhang Jianping said.
Regarding the future cooperation between China and Germany in the manufacturing industry, Chinese Ambassador to Germany Shi Mingde said, first, the two sides should further promote the direct connection between enterprises, push more enterprises to the foreground and play the leading role of enterprises. Second, we should continue to carry out cooperation in the field of standardization, turn the established pilot projects into "flagship" projects of China-Germany industrial cooperation and give full play to their demonstration effect. Third, the two countries should further promote training and exchanges of scientific research personnel and managers of industrial enterprises.
